Chemical Peeling
Many skin problems are caused by or associated with excessive build up of dead skin cells that make the skin thick and dull. Chemical peeling is a technique of evenly removing the damaged surface of the skin, then allowing the renewal process to replace it with fresher, smoother skin.
This produces an initial thinning of the thickened skin and an ongoing improvement in skin appearance and texture, and rapidly removes the damaged outer layer of the skin to reveal a softer, smoother and clearer skin underneath. This activity causes the surface skin to appear healthier, plumper and tighter. Essentially, resurfacing process is a controlled removal of the surface skin cells to reveal a better looking skin.
A peeling program can be designed to meet your expectations or another approach more appropriate for you chosen. Depending on how rapidly you require improvement, and how many die effects would be acceptable to you, either a slow gently and almost side effect free plan, or a rapid plan resulting in dryness, flaking and sometimes even scabbing on the way to better skin can be devised. Generally the program will involve several peels over a period of time. The flexibility of the glycolic acid peeling system takes into consideration the condition for which it is being used, the degree of improvement required, the time allowed to achieve it and the acceptable amount of discomfort or down time.
